Merry Christmas, from Ceili, Connor and Suzi- and all of us, here at Matrix Wheaten Terriers!
We always get asked about puppies for Christmas. We don't have them.
There's a reason for this.
Puppies come 64 days after a breeding, and breeding happens at a certain time in the female cycle. Our girls aren't timed for Christmas! We're glad to put you on our list, and we do check it twice!
We know how excited your family is to get a puppy. We know how fun Christmas is.There is a LOT going on during the holidays. Hustle and bustle, travel and guests. Imagine you're nine weeks old and move to a new home with new people and no mama. You need to be the center of attention and get all the reassurance and love. But there's all kinds of new people running around coming and going and you can't tell which of these will be your pack, and everything in your life up to now has been on a schedule and your new people are doing holiday things and eating holiday food and decorating holiday trees and opening holiday gifts and .....whew!
It's really not the best time to add a new member to your family. Give the gift of a dog's unending love when the puppy can be the center of attention, the house has calmed, and things are stable. Take the time to be together with your new puppy and develop the bond of family.
If you want to give a puppy for Christmas, how about giving a PICTURE of a puppy, and see if the excitement is still there AFTER the holidays. We'll be glad to send you one!
